La Pizza Via ("The Pizza Way")

La Pizza Via is an independent family owned and operated food establishment dedicated to the craft of pizza making. Let us take you on a trip from New Haven to Chicago, stopping in New York City and Detroit along the way. Visit us today to try our many authentic pizza styles, fresh garlic knots, and specialty stuffed breads! We use only the freshest hand-selected ingredients and make all of our dough and sauces in-house. Our specialty pizzas are unique - we don't just add a variety of toppings but instead look to bring a culmination of flavors together to indulge your taste buds. We also offer some great snacks, salads, pastas, sandwiches, and desserts.

Five Pizza Styles to Choose From

Detroit Style

Our dough recipe comes from Shawn Randazzo, a Michican native and 2012 World Pizza Champion. Soft and airy square crust with a crunchy exterior and caramelized cheese edging, topped with Wisconsin Brick cheese, and finished with warm tomato sauce and a pinch of Romano cheese.

Chicago Cracker Thin

A very thin crispy crust made with Ceresota flour and cornmeal. Homemade tomato sauce, the toppings of your choice, with our Midwest cheese blend piled on top. This pizza is cut in squares.

NY Style

Our hand-tossed dough made with General Mills All Trumps flour. Fresh homemade tomato sauce, our special East Coast cheese blend, and the toppings of your choosing. This pizza is pie cut. True to NY style, we offer a 20" XL pizza on a limited basis (this is the size pie we use for our slices). We also use this same dough recipe for our specialty pizzas.

Sicilian/Grandma

Dough made with General Mills All Trumps flour hand-stretched in a square pan. Sicilian: crust is par-cooked, topped with fresh homemade tomato sauce and our whole milk mozzarella cheese blend. Grandma: dough topped with sliced fresh mozzarella, our homade tomato sauce, a pinch of Romano, Extra Virgin Olive Oil drizzle, and finished with chopped basil.

Gluten Friendly

We offer only the best Gluten Friendly crusts from Still Riding in Connecticut. Enjoy the great taste of our pizza on a crust without the Gluten.

We celebrated my son's birthday here on Sunday as pizza is one of his favorites. His dad is a pizza fanatic so kind of hard to please.
Glad to say the Sicilian pizza was delicious mainly because of the sausage and cheese. The sauce was ok too.
The chopped salad was one of our favorites as well. Pleasantly different than Portillos!
Oh. And the Garlic Nuggets, couldn't get enough of those!

Best Pizza in the Midwest, I'm a Brooklyn gal living in the Midwest and this pizza is as good as any East coast pizza. I loved their stuffed bread, never had anything like it.
The Clams Casino Pizza was the most amazing thing. I'm in love. This place makes me so happy, lovely staff and the owner Jeff is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Looks like I'll be eating my way through their menu.
It reheated wonderfully and it was delicious cold for breakfast! My kinda place.
..... and now I'm gonna order food for the husband. Price is right as well.

La Pizza Via! Holy crap is this place good!

We just tried the round thin crust sausage / pep, the wings, chicken parm and sausage/spinach stuffed bread. And man was it all amazing! First off, the wings are honestly some of the best we have tasted in the area. The pizza tasted fantastic with super fresh ingredients. And I will save the best for last! TheSTUFFED BREAD was LIFE CHANGING!

Please support this business. Throw your piles of Money at it and never look back! Wow!

Being a Chicago guy, wasn't sure I'd like this place. I gave it a try a couple of weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was good. I'd order it again, and even told the owner he should start serving some corned beef sandwiches out of there. It would be nice to have a place with a go to corned beef in the area
